We can register pretty much any domain you want, as long as its available.
Most local businesses will register a local country domain (e.g. yourbusiness.co.za), whilst international business would use an international domain (e.g. yourbusiness.com)

We offer all South African domains (ie: .co.za .org.za .net.za .web.za .joburg .durban and .capetown)
International domains are also available, including all the most popular .com .net .org .biz and .mobi.

Note: Think carefully about the domain name you choose, as it will represent your business for a long time to come.

For example, if you are a local business, a local country domain will make more sense, because then anyone who sees your website domain will then know that you are local. If you had a .com domain, they might not consider you as they will presume you are an international company. 

Today, more than 41% of customers expect live chat on your website. For customers that visit your website on a mobile device, this number is as high as 50%. Therefore, if you don't offer live chat on your website, then you're essentially ignoring your customers. And that's the fastest way to lose business!

Instead of using the traditional onsite chat with a back-end customer website portal, we prefer to simply use Whatsapp.
We place a small round Whatsapp icon on every page of your website and, when a visitor clicks on the icon, it automatically opens up a Whatsapp dialog with you.

No software for anyone to install, no webpages or portals needing to stay open, no additional training needed, nothing extra needed.

Just simply using Whatsapp the same way as you always do. 

Payment can be done via Credit Card or EFT.

Our services are all subscription based, so you simply select how long you want the subscription for, then make the online payment.
On subscription expiry, your subscription will automatically renew.

Standard & Premium bundles can be cancelled at any time, with 1-month's notice.
Custom components require a 3-month cancellation period.

DesignBoys puts huge amounts of time & effort upfront into any websites we design, and we need to be able to recoup this time investment. To protect ourselves, we have adopted the following policy:

If you cancel within the first 6 months, we retain ownership of the physical website we built for you.
Anytime after 6 months, we provide you with a complete copy of the website, database & all content.

Irrespective, we will also return any documentation you provided, any online website content you created (e.g. blogs, latest news etc), as well as releasing your domain for transfer to another website provider. 

If you have an existing website, DesignBoys will replace the website with a new one, hosted on our webservers.
To allow the new website to be visible on the web instead of the old one, you have 2 options:

Option 1 - Domain transfer
We request your ISP to release your domain and transfer to us. Once that's done, you can close the existing account with the ISP.

Option 2 - Domain pointing
We request the ISP to point the website domain record to our servers (its a quick and painless process).
All other domain DNS records are left "as-is" and you continue paying the ISP for their services.
This option is normally used when you already have existing domain-based email accounts. e.g. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
Its easier to keep existing email accounts, rather than getting everyone to change email accounts.

In exceptional circumstances, we can upload the new website to your existing ISP Hosting .

However, we prefer to avoid this as the ISP hosting platforms often use different technology to us, which makes website design unnecessarily complex, hard to support & often introduces errors due to system incompatibilities. 

SEO is the process of improving your organic search engine scores, by improving the way search engines "see" your website. i.e., what webmasters do to make sure that your website is listed on Google search ahead of your competitors. 

Custom widgets are design elements which add some level of inter-activeness to your website, over & above the normal contact forms.

Sometimes they are simple modules, such as a pricing calculator or Opinion poll.
Other-times they can be complex add-ons, such as appointment booking or customer surveys.

We limit the amount of custom widgets we include in our website designs, as they can make sites overly complex for visitors, detracting from the website purpose. Further, interactive elements can require a lot of support from the website owners and, if not maintained, can do more damage to the website than good. Do you trust a site that has interactive content which hasn't been updated in ages?
